ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Broadcast Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Broadcast Engineering Team, which requires an experienced Broadcast Engineer with an extensive background in Information Technology, Cloud Technology, and Broadcast Engineering. The position is responsible for managing and leading the development and execution of strategies, implementing technical solutions for Esports Engine Burbank Broadcast Facilities, as well as managing the technical internal staff. The position requires exceptional technical experience, business acuity, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Convey technical information and suggest well-thought-out technical solutions to problems are paramount to the role of Engineering Manager
  • Guide Esports Engine leadership on strategies and architectural design, proactively addressing the needs of the client to consistently meet or exceed defined requirements
  • Analyze performance and generate reports for the team and executive management
  • Manage and provide leadership to the broader Engineering department
  • Execute projects in a timely and service-oriented manner
  • Use your strong knowledge and interpersonal skills to suggest and guide other teams towards the best technical solution for given requirements
  • Create wire drawings that depict how the camera and audio inputs are organized and will be set up
  • Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
  • Communicate with the project manager and other project participants and collaborate with engineers to create efficient project methods and to maintain the project's standards
  • Report on specific working conditions and equipment status at the request of management

WHAT WE NEED TO SEE

  • 6+ years experience in working as a broadcast engineer, video post-production, or system integrator.
  • 1+ years experience managing individual contributors
  • Experience performing and leading in multiple departments in high-growth environments
  • Knowledge and experience in both IP technology and principles, and broadcast technology design and support
  • Advanced knowledge of all TV Production equipment and technology within assigned operating areas
  • Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology functions and applications
  • Knowledge of what things cost, who supplies them, and how long they take to acquire
