The ideal candidate for this position has a proven history of successfully organizing gaming events or tournaments. He/She has a passion for the gaming industry and has experience in tournament organizing to ensure that our events are up to the highest expectations of our customers.

Duties for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, coordinate and implement event plans, responsible for the smooth and professional delivery of the event;
  • Organize the tournaments and events for ESC, host on-site events, provide on-site support and event administrative duties as required
  • Check space availability and enter bookings in to the system
  • Send out invitations, book private parties on special occasions, organize corporate events
  • Enter, create routing rules, check rates of the event/tournament in the system
  • Meet the marketing team to review details of the event and ensure accuracy of set-ups, timing and other details of the tournaments
  • Identify event and sponsorship opportunities
  • Maintain good relationships with a wide range of event-associated contacts (hotel concierges, corporate event planners, students’ unions etc.)
  • Provide administrative support to the sales and marketing team as needed
  • Organize and distribute all relevant sales and marketing materials including direct mail, flyers, brochures and collateral printed materials

Key Requirements for this Marketing Coordinator are as follows:

  • Bilingualism (French & English)
  • College or University degree in a related field or equivalent experience in Esports
  • Experience in hosting big local event is an asset
  • Minimum 2+ years of effective experience in event planning or event coordinating
  • An understanding of gaming industry and the ecosystem of eSports is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
  • Previous cold call experience, great phone communication skills
  • More than 2 years in event planning is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft, especially Word and Excel, proficiency in using booking/appointment scheduling software
  • Exceptional time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently, comfortable in being self-directed
  • Ability to work efficiently in a demanding
    and fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work under the pressure of
    deadlines, changing priorities in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to get things done
  • A team player who can act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required
  • Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow up skills
  • Establish lead follow-up and nurturing processes and campaigns
  • Effectively manage and reconcile event budget
  • Develop marketing and communications plans, tactics and/or activities
