Duties for this position include but are not limited to:
- Follow the marketing strategy of the company, implement marketing plans for the Esports arena
- Organized marketing activities, coordinated marketing campaigns with sales activities
- Develope, coordinate and implement event plans, responsible for the smooth and professional delivery of the event
- Organize the events for ESC, implement on-site events, provide on-site support and event administrative duties as required
- Send out invitations, book private parties on special occasions, organize corporate events
- Identify event and sponsorship opportunities
- Coordinate marketing outreach programs with community partners (business associations, Tourism, hotels etc.) to drive traffic into ESC
- Maintain good relationships with a wide range of event-associated contacts (hotel concierges, corporate event planners, students’ unions etc.)
- Cooperate well and have regular meeting with digital marketing team to enhance efforts in promotion and outreach and make sure online and offline are perfectly coordinated
- Provide administrative support to the sales and marketing team as needed
- Bring interns and volunteers to the marketing team
- Organize and distribute all relevant sales and marketing materials including direct mail, flyers, brochures and collateral printed materials
Key Requirements for this Marketing Coordinator are as follows:
- Bilingualism (French & English)
- College or University degree in a related field or equivalent experience in Esports
- Minimum 2+ years of effective experience in marketing/event planning
- An understanding of gaming industry and the ecosystem of eSports is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
- Previous cold call experience, great phone communication skills
- More than 2 years in event planning is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft, especially Word and Excel, proficiency in using booking/appointment scheduling software
- Exceptional time management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently, comfortable in being self-directed
- Ability to work efficiently in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, changing priorities in a multi-tasking environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills with the ability to get things done
- A team player who can act as both a leader and an individual contributor as required
- Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow up skills
- Establish lead follow-up and nurturing processes and campaigns
