What we are looking for:

ESL UK are seeking a highly creative and proficient individual with a deep understanding of social platforms to work as project based, part-time social media freelancer to work on our products, including our national league The ESL Premiership.

  • A minimum of 2 years experience working with live coverage on social media platforms
  • A love for many esports titles
  • A strong desire to be a part of the online community

Job Description

The main responsibility for this role will be delivering the output of live coverage for several online shows spanning over various esports and gaming titles. Depending on products throughout the year this also may require the freelancer to also output and adhere to weekly content schedules provided by ESL and Clients

The ideal candidate is a passionate social media expert with a wide understanding on current trends, working closely with the Social Media Manager to plan & execute content.

The working location for this role is mainly to be done remotely, however, there is a possibility in some cases the need to travel to offline events to carry out the duties onsite within the United Kingdom and Europe.

Your responsibilities:

  • Real time coverage of live broadcasts, which includes editing of graphics and the creation of highlight clips, gifs and memes all posted on the relevant channels.
  • Actively interact with teams, players and the community through social media channels whilst adhering to integrity of the brand.
  • Work closely with the Social Media Manager to plan and execute content as well as ensure deadlines and goals are being met
  • Curate the best plays and standout performers for multimedia content
  • Provide ad-hoc support for the Social Media Manager with tasks and responsibilities when required

Your Profile

Must-have:

  • At least 2 years experience of running social media channels; Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Proficient in Photoshop and Premiere Pro, with the ability to create video clips, gifs and memes.
  • Knowledge of various esports titles, including CS:GO, Rainbow Six Siege and Dota 2
  • Desire to expand horizons and work on esports and gaming titles that are not considered mainstream
  • Be able to work under pressure and adapt rapidly to changes that impact workload and deadlines.
  • Availability to work weekday evenings and/or anytime during the weekend.

Nice to have:

  • A strong aspiration to adapt and learn new skill sets that can be applied
  • Experience working remotely whilst delivering on a project
  • Provide creative ideas and input back to the Social Media Manager on products
