Job description:

As Senior Software Engineer (Team Lead Anticheat) you will be leading the development of Anticheat technology at ESL, in particular building, improving & maintaining backend services that power ESL Anticheat 2 & Badlion Anticheat, helping protect some of esports biggest titles & tournaments from cheaters.
As leading member of the team you will have responsibility for designing and implementing how your services are built and inter-operate with each other and integrate with our products. You will also represent your team when working together with other engineering teams at HQ and remotely. As a team lead you will be responsible for the technical vision of the product, including deciding on the technologies used to build it and how it is put together.

  • Writing & updating tests
  • Developing new features & maintaining existing ones
  • New features & bug fixes implemented
  • Documentation in our documentation tool (Confluence)
  • Tests written or updated
  • Issues kept up to date & work logged in our issue tracker (JIRA)

Your profile

Must-haves:

  • 4+ years experience in software engineering
  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
  • Scala, or Java
  • SQL/NoSQL
  • Docker & Kubernetes

Nice to have:

  • Finch, Finagle, twitter-server
  • Amazon AWS (Lambda, Kinesis, EC2, etc.)
  • Mesos, Marathon
  • Continuous Integration/Delivery, preferably GitLab
  • Experience playing online games or knowledge of esports
