The role will be responsible for leading the strategic and business planning of the US Production business alongside the US leadership team. You will deliver the day to day management of productions but also the longer-term objectives for growth and efficiency. This will include shaping and planning production activity, securing key contract staff and talent, managing financial and operational risk and internal workflows with other departments.

You will also be responsible for the performance of production staff & productions through ensuring adequate training, development and performance management arrangements. You will be expected to maintain production staffโ€™s wellbeing, enabling them to complete their roles to the best of their ability.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Regularly update and liaise with executive management on the status of the production team & the projects that they are working on.
  • Manage internal staff resources, allocating staff to shows and broadcasts.
  • Manage external staff resources, helping the producers to allocate and source staff for shows & broadcasts.
  • Manage and source external venues and equipment, when required.
  • Help maintain industry contacts for the business to ensure there are a variety of different suppliers for production related activities. Ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are signed with any regular suppliers in order to protect the business and the supplier.
  • Act as line manager for all members of the production department, including the Creative team & the Tech team. Managing their Overtime tracking, TOIL & holidays.
  • Ensuring efficient operations and realizing cost savings across all our productions to adequately manage, not just spend the budget
  • Evaluate internal resource planning and plan for recruitment as needed.
  • Manage all hardware & stock, ensuring that any issues are resolved & rectified. Accounting for equipment updates & improvements.
  • Assist with booking of specialist broadcast equipment for larger shows, ensuring the Producer & Product Manager have the correct solution for the client/stakeholders.
  • Liaise with the Product Management team on budget creation for projects & helping to iterate the accuracy of budgets depending on client requirements.
  • Assist producers on planning aspects that require additional input & help.
  • Training & development of staff to help them to diversify their skill set & progress within the business.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Show execution is completed to stakeholder expectations & on budget.
  • Appropriate staffing levels are kept throughout all broadcasts.
  • External projects are staffed and sourced according to budget.

Required experience:

  • 4 Years of Management Experience, leading a team of at least 5 reports.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the esports market.
  • 5 years of production experience, knowledge of the industry and contacts within it.

Desired experience

  • Diverse and extensive knowledge of esports titles.
