In the Senior Account Manager role, you will be responsible for all sales and new business initiatives for ESL UK. Based in our London office in Farringdon, you will form a key part of the UK focused sales operations reporting directly into the Head of UK Business Development.

Ranging from approaching new clients and brands across the endemic and non-endemic advertising landscape, as well as managing existing long-term key clients and helping develop and deliver on their long-term goals within esports, you will be a key revenue driver for the business and help drive ESL to new heights.

The role will entail an independent but focused approach in helping monetize existing key ESL O&O properties such as the ESL UK Premiership and local ESL One events, as well as devising new unique and engaging branding initiatives and partnerships to engage the UK esports community and deliver on client KPI’s. By working closely with ESL teams internally and at a European level, you will ensure seamless campaign delivery and highest possible levels campaign execution, seeing your creations come to life at a national level in both online and live or offline environments!

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide input to and lead the implementation of account management strategy to expand and maintain ESL UK’s customer base, deliver net growth, revenue, profitability and service targets for key accounts in line with ESL’s business strategy
  • Approach new clients, understand their key objectives and help activate them within esports
  • Maintain existing key client relationships and working to develop new initiatives within those accounts
  • Work directly with the Account Manager to ensure smooth campaign activation and that best business practices are upheld at all times
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline to Head of UK Business Development
  • Take steps to ensure key account retention, business growth and profitability
  • Manage experienced sales professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments

Skills & Requirements

Must have’s:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or more than 6 years of equivalent experience/qualification
  • Proven track record in sales, brand partnerships and pipeline building
  • Experience within the media/advertising landscape and working with global/local advertising agencies or clients directly
  • Fully capable in building and maintaining relationships with clients and delivering on campaign objectives and KPI’s
  • Excellent communication and face to face presentations as well as good negotiation skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience in esports and genuine passion for gaming
  • Creative thinking and ability to create and maintain strong client and industry wide relationships
  • Independent way of working
  • A personable and client friendly sales approach
  • Able to have a good old debate about esports
