As a fulltime Project Manager (m/f/d) within the IT department you will take over one or more projects inside ESL. The IT department usually has the technical lead in projects but can have the general lead as well. You will research, evaluate and implement new solutions to meet the requirements of all stakeholders. These solutions will be used in our HQ in Cologne, by our subsidiaries worldwide or on our events in different locations.

You will work on new projects and join in on everything that is currently on our roadmap. You should come up with own project ideas to improve established processes or to create new ones as well.

From the first proof of concepts to rolling out the final solution to the end user, its all in your hands.

Your future tasks:

  • Manage all stakeholders and work packages in order to meet project goals
  • Manage all project deliverables using project management software and best practice methodologies
  • Coordinate and facilitate all communication, including organising regular meetings
  • Work closely with the project’s lead within ESL or be the project lead with all added responsibilities
  • Keep budgets on track
  • Quickly create proof of concepts
  • Come up with new workflows and processes for departments and internal end users based on verbalized needs or based on your own knowledge of how things can be done and known best practices

Your profile

Must haves:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical mindset
  • Problem-solving aptitude

Nice to have:

  • An understanding of modern IT setups / best practices
  • Experience in software development
  • Keen gamer/esports fan
  • Working in a startup or similar environment
