We are looking for a Graphic Designer to bring creativity and originality to our shows, events, and projects. This role will need to develop and expand skill sets in areas of design, merchandise, digital and entertainment areas, as well as strategic thinking and conceptualization in order to continue to deliver creative and original content.

Operational responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and execute creative recommendations, goals, and timelines.
  • Create concept and design of print products such as fliers, posters, banners, etc.
  • Create graphics, motion graphics, and visual effects for various projects and events.
  • Create brand structure through logo creation, product creation, and concepts.
  • Communicate with printing companies for various projects on behalf of the Company and clients.
  • Work closely with Designers and Project Managers to maintain communication and client satisfaction.
  • Communicate with production team; maintain original design intent (what client was sold on) in conjunction with maintaining physical quality of product (per production teams’ directive).
  • Work with Publisher Sales team to understand client requests and understand how to take general information from customer and break it down to specifics for quoting/rendering.
  • Maintain accurate and current knowledge of new design techniques, trends and applicable software.
  • Attend planning meetings and makes presentations to staff and clients to decide strategic and creative direction of a project.
  • Use creative expertise to interpret a client’s vision and make it a tangible and deliverable product.
  • Nurture relationships with outside designers and design agencies.
  • Keep abreast of changes in area(s) of expertise and responsibility via participation in ongoing professional development and training as determined in collaboration with primary supervisor and Human Resources team.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Specific skills/knowledge:

  • Must have advanced knowledge with the following items: Adobe Suite (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design), Microsoft Suite, coding, and web design (Xpression is a huge plus but not required).
  • Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality.
  • In-depth knowledge of current and emerging trends in design.

Personal skills:

  • Able to manage multiple, concurrent projects in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Respond to others in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple local departments and global offices to ensure streamlined communication and goals across accounts.
  • Use strong project management, organizational and time management skills to complete work with accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the use of technology and workflow in assessing and improving systems and processes in areas of responsibility to achieve annual goals.
  • Operate computers and other technology devices and equipment proficiently with associated software and apps in accordance with company policy and role responsibilities.
  • Work independently and collaborate well within teams with a high standard of integrity and ethics in support of ESL’s strategic interests, policies, and goals.
  • Perform work with patience, discretion, good judgment, courtesy and tact while working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures, including colleagues, clients, vendors, partners, contractors and other possible stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate effective, accurate and clear communication with excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, social media, reading, phone and customer service skills in accordance with role.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years graphic design experience in a corporate capacity is required.
  • Extensive experience with mockups, web design, and multimedia presentation.
  • Experience working in esports, broadcasting or another entertainment industry is preferred.
