Epic is looking for an experienced writer to join the Fortnite team. This position is available for remote work. Please submit a comedic writing sample with your application. Format can be a screenplay, full scene, or short story. Please keep submission length to no more then 30 pages.

Responsibilities

• Working directly with the Sr. Writer to create content for Fortnite and additional Epic projects
• Writing quest content for Fortnite: Save the World
• Providing additional writing support as needed for Fortnite: Battle Royale
• Providing naming support for cosmetic content
• Creating written content across departments as needed
• Managing scripts from pitch to production
  

Qualifications

• Writer credit on one shipped AAA title, or multiple smaller projects
• Experience with comedic writing, and a drive to create uniquely funny scripts.
• Ability to write in multiple styles and formats including - in-game vo scripts and written assets, animated shorts, trailers, video content, and stage demos.
• Collaborative mindset and a willingness to iterate rapidly.
• Experience delivering quality content on a tight deadline
• A “make it work” attitude toward creating story content in a live game environment
• The ability to demonstrate an understanding of Fortnite’s tone and style
  

The ideal candidate would also have a mix of the following qualifications:

• Quest design experience
• Pitching experience
• Script production experience
• Experience with UE4
• Live game experience
