TOOLS PROGRAMMER INTERN
What You'll Do
We’re looking for a Tools Programmer Intern to work on tools and engine components for authoring and rendering terrains within Unreal Engine. This involves working with the current Landscape system and Water tools, supporting internal teams, and licensees, as well as changing existing or developing new features to raise the bar for the terrain capabilities within Unreal Engine. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has good communication skills, and the abilities and perseverance to analyze and resolve complex problems.
In this role, you will
Resolve bugs and workflow issues for our internal teams and licensees
Work closely with the Terrain team members to modify existing and add new features
Debug and test performance critical code on different platforms
Have independence in making and owning implementation decisions
Be part of an experienced distributed team
What we're looking for
Strong C++ skills
Experience in collaborating with other developers
Demonstrated ability in working on graphics tools, e.g. mesh and texture processing
Someone who is pragmatic, professional, and has a positive attitude
Prior experience with Unreal Engine is a plus, but not required
Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
This internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
