Quixel is looking for a Senior Pipeline Developer to join the pipeline team. You will play a key role in exploring, defining, developing, and implementing tools to help our content teams reach their creative potential.

As a Senior Pipeline Developer, you have the experience and technical knowledge to automate our core pipelines. A visionary at heart, you will lead initiatives to transform our pipelines and greatly accelerate our mission to scan the world.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Head of Pipeline, Lead Pipeline, and Production to identify strategic opportunities
• Solve systemic problems to help achieve long term automation goals
• Design and develop Houdini Digital Assets (HDA)
• R&D of new pipelines and prototyping new ideas
• Calculate ROI of new pipeline developments and deprecation of legacy pipelines
• Mentor and training the team to prepare for the challenges of tomorrow
• Attend weekly meetings to advocate good workflow practices

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with Houdini that focuses on developing Digital Assets (HDA)
• Proven experience as a Procedural Artist, Tools Programmer, Technical Artist or in similar roles in tools development
• Solid Experience with Python and VEX
• Excellent attention to details and desire to deliver high-quality code consistently
• Strong communication skills with department leads, content creators, and software engineers
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Pluses

• Strong experience with ZBrush, Maya and other relevant software used in procedural modeling and content generation
• Experience building pipelines and deploying tools for a distributed team
• Prior experience in working with scan-based data and digital asset publishing
• Interest or experience in machine learning
