Epic Games is looking for an Engineer to support the mobility industry out of our new Detroit office, where you will contribute to innovative uses of Unreal Engine 4 on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of C++ and development experience working with the Unreal Engine, although we will consider experience with other real-time game engines.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing problems licenses may be having with their content
  • Support UE4 deployment on a wide variety of novel platforms
  • Embedding yourself in licensee teams to help ship on time and on budget
  • Work hand in hand with Epic engineering and tech art teams

Qualifications:

  • Strong generalist C++ knowledge
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of the technical relationship with developers and works proactively to set up systems to smooth the road from eval to license
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues via email or face-to-face
  • Excellent debugging skills
  • Shipped console, PC, or mobile, title experience
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 but other real-time engine experience will be considered
  • Android and/or linux experience a plus
