QUALITY ASSURANCE
What We Do
The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.
What You'll Do
As a QA Manager on the Fortnite Art and Audio team, you will be responsible for building test strategies, defect management, driving organizational change, and mapping out QA hiring priorities and staffing plans. The position requires a leader in QA, both as a people manager and someone who isn’t afraid to dig into the details of problems and find innovative solutions at scale.
In this role, you will
Partner with developers and production to build sustainable testing solutions that likely include a mix of manual efforts, tooling, and automation
Lead the team in their use of data to develop proper risk assessment profiles while identifying major risks in a fast paced environment
Develop major testing initiatives using a combination of process, people, and effective testing methodologies
Move the team to a “shift-left” mentality with a focus on developing automation and tooling
Provide guidance and mentorship in the development of both hard and soft skills
What we're looking for
6+ years of Quality Assurance experience
Capability to lead a QA team both as a people manager and tactical driver of success
Formal QA certification, such as ISTQB or equivalent experience
Experience in both software and games development
Experience in reviewing requirements and code review to assist in creating test plans with automation in mind
A deep understanding of defect reporting, version control, and configuration management best practices, along with different testing phase best practices and objectives (functional, system integration, UAT, performance)

Pay Transparency Information
The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
British Columbia Base Pay Range
$130,897 - $191,982 CAD
