What we do

Epic Games Publishing is a new multiplatform publishing effort with a developer first approach.

The Epic Games approach to publishing fundamentally changes the developer/publisher model, and aims to provide the most developer-friendly environment in the industry, so that creators can focus on making great games. As such, Epic will be responsible for providing a solid foundation of publishing and go-to-market services.

What you’ll do

Epic Games is looking for a Director of Marketing to lead the EGP marketing team. The Director will orchestrate the sequencing and go-to-market execution for a wide portfolio of products with our Publishing partners. Licensor experience with major IP holders to bring products to market is also a major plus.

In this role, you will

  • Collaborate with multiple Epic Games Publishing Partners to build out cohesive marketing and communications plans for a multi-platform release
  • Manage a stable of partners with co-ownership over marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Work with partners across the business to identify strategic opportunities and maximize digital campaigns to deliver against core business objectives
  • Analyze the impact of marketing campaigns and broader publishing efforts on player acquisition, engagement, and overarching business objectives
  • Manage events and their corresponding campaigns by working with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute
  • Ensure optimal allocation of internal resources and prioritize efforts for success against strategic objectives
  • Develop close relationships with First Party and hardware partners to maximize marketing impact and reach
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams: executives, game leads, community, PR, influencer relations, creative services, video,and more

What we’re looking for

  • 10 years of Brand Marketing experience in games or entertainment (5+ products shipped)
  • Ownership of a product category or business unit including P&L responsibility
  • Proven leader over multiple cross functional teams, across a portfolio of products
  • Extensive experience in balancing priorities and internal resources
  • Excellent communications skills and experience working directly with senior leadership
  • Bonus: Live games as service experience
