Epic Data Engineering

What We Do

The Epic Data Engineering team manages the data pipeline for multiple Epic products (Fortnite, Launcher, Store, and more) that drives reporting and service monitoring. We work closely with Data Analysts and empower stakeholders to make data driven decisions. Our data warehouse is the gateway to understanding and improving product performance.

What You'll Do

As a part of Epic Data Engineering, you will be focused on building our data pipeline and relationship with partners new to Epic. This task will involve working with stakeholders to build requirements and SLAs as well as implementing ETL to ingest and emit data. Your skill will allow our data warehouse to grow and set standards for other partners to follow.

In This Role You Will

  • Work closely with Epic partners on ingesting their data into Epic’s data warehouse
  • Utilize best coding practices to ensure stable and sustainable development
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to solve problems and participate in code reviews

What We're Looking For

  • Python experience
  • Source Control experience, preferably Git
  • Understand database systems and schema creation
  • Passion for building and maintaining pipelines that will be used across teams

Nice To Have Skills

  • Experience working in a Big Data / Distributed Data environment
  • Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS
  • Experience with Apache Spark
  • Knowledge of Hive / Hadoop
