Epic Games is looking for an Evangelist who will be responsible for driving adoption of Unreal Engine and related technologies across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Being an active and visible first point of contact for developers within the region
  • Establishing and maintaining contact with developers throughout the region
  • Nurturing indie Unreal Engine developers and helping their projects reach their full potential
  • Writing regular detailed reports on your work and keeping track of your interactions
  • Creating and presenting technical Unreal Engine content: sample projects, talks, demos, slide decks, blog posts, etc
  • Evangelizing the usage of the Unreal Engine at events throughout the region including trade shows, conferences, workshops, and meetups
  • Visiting developer studios and providing technical support and onboarding, answering questions and solving technical problems, on site
  • Training personnel and students in a variety of educational settings: universities, bootcamps, workshops, etc
  • Evaluate projects and teams with an eye for promotion to Custom Licensing, Epic Mega Grants, and the Epic Store

Qualifications

  • Broad technical skills as well as in depth fluency in two to three different areas of Unreal Engine - preferably as a Tech Artist or Engineer
  • A demonstrated passion for real time development processes and tools, and a drive to share that passion with developers
  • Strong presentation skills, must be able to create and present content in Unreal Engine fluently
  • Sharp written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively (65% or better)
  • Ability to work and operate remotely, often alone
  • A fundamental understanding of the business side of development, and the challenges faced by developers in an evolving landscape
