Our Data & Analytics teams build powerful stories and visuals that inform the games we make, the technology we develop, and business decisions that drive Epic.

What You'll Do

We're looking for a Sr. QA Data Analyst to help drive more data-driven decision making. You’ll be the primary point of contact in maintaining informational dashboards and working with leads and managers to develop metrics based on available data. You’ll develop effective queries within Jira and Test Rail to help establish historic metrics, then develop trending reports to highlight risks and opportunities for the QA organization. You will use your experience with test coverage to develop effective communication with developers and production on key performance indicators..

In This Role You Will

  • Use a blend of testing skills and data analytics, develop a holistic view of the state of QA testing, end to end across all of Epic’s products.

  • Understand how and what we are testing, how effective our testing efforts are, and what types of tests meaningfully change the health of our products

  • Translate large amounts of data into easily understable reports or dashboard so that decisions can be made on how to move forward within development.

  • Dig into jira to understand trends of work output and timelines on individual teams

  • Assess defect data tied to specific sub categories within products per release

  • Work with stakeholders at the senior leadership level, team leaders, as well as contributors on individual teams.

What We're Looking For

  • 2 years working in data analytics

  • Practical knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle

  • Ability to define and spot macro and micro levels trends with statistical significance on a regular basis and understand key drivers impacting those trends

  • Data analyst experience in a large scale environment

  • Proven results oriented analysis that helped support positive change in the business strategy

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science or related experience required

  • Experience in Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Google Analytics, Tableau, or PowerBI
