Technical Marketing Operations Intern

Job Description

The Personalization Architecture team is seeking a technical marketing operations intern. As a member of the Architecture pillar you’ll help handle incoming content requests for our transactional emails and make sure that they are properly completed, assist with technical updates to the templates and trigger configurations on an as needed basis, and help the team find new ways to improve and automate the existing processes. The individual in this role will work with various teams across EA marketing, technology, and studio organizations providing the intern with exposure to many different groups. They will also gain valuable exposure to the enterprise email marketing platform and other technologies the Architecture team utilizes.

About the Team

The Personalization team’s primary goal is to motivate players to engage with EA games by delivering content against key moments in the player’s journey through the DOM (Dynamic Omnichannel Messaging) initiative, a centralized, always-on, automated messaging program that drives acquisition, engagement, and retention across EA’s digital channels. The Architecture pillar’s focus is developing the enterprise-wide solutions that use automation and data to power those new ways of enhancing the player experience within and outside of our games behind the DOM initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with other teams to align on execution of requests.
  • Manage the asset and copy delivery with the localization team.
  • Assist with updates to template and trigger configurations within our email service provider.
  • Helping to build the internal git repositories for the transactional emails.
  • This is a great opportunity to learn about the game industry and experience working for an internal marketing organization.

What you will learn

  • Gain insight into how an automated, dynamic, at scale email program is run and operates.
  • Hands on experience with our email service provider.
  • Experience coding in HTML, CSS, SQL, and proprietary scripting languages.
  • Experience working with an enterprise level git repository.
  • An understanding of how marketing operations and architecture influence and affect each other.

Required Skills

  • Must be currently enrolled in a university and graduate after summer 2021.
  • Creativity and a desire to work with complex, dynamic, automated processes.
  • Comfortable working with Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office or related products.
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideally suited for students majoring in Business, Communications, Journalism, technology, or a related field.
  • Work from home environment for the internship.
