Frostbite is EA's state-of-the-art multi-platform game development engine that empowers game creators to shape the future of gaming! We achieve this by developing leading-edge engine features and world class tools. Our accomplished team from across the globe is dedicated to building innovative technology and working with teams across EA to create amazing games.

You will be part of our global rendering team, driving the technology forward that will power future titles and push the boundaries of visual quality in games.

Our team focuses on the low-level aspect of our supported platforms, using new graphics hardware and APIs in efficient and creative ways.

The Engineering Manager role

You will report to a Director of Engineering. As an Engineering Manager on Frostbite you will:

  • Directly oversee the career development of engineers on the team

  • Help recruit and grow the rendering team

  • Help determine and guide software development best practices

  • Foster a healthy and productive work environment

  • Be responsible for the execution and delivery of projects

  • Collaborate with other leaders to deliver world-class rendering technology in Frostbite

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience directly managing software engineers

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience

  • Experience coaching teams and individuals in modern software development practices

  • You have a collaborative attitude and management style

Bonus

  • Any experience with game development and/or real-time C++ application development

  • Understanding of modern computer graphics hardware, software, drivers and APIs.
