Monetization is a data-heavy, latency sensitive, and technically demanding part of any mobile games organization. It’s critical to the growth of our business.
Sports mobile is looking for talented engineers to join our live service engineering team. The live service engineering team will focus on architecting and designing scalable solutions to enhance monetization and engagement across the Sports mobile portfolio. This team will initially focus on driving adoption of stable adtech across a thriving group of mobile sports titles. Downstream, the remit of this team will expand to improving our sports mobile monetization platform and be instrumental in driving growth for our business.
As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for architecting scalable solutions for ad monetization that multiple team can efficiently share. As a technical leader, you must ensure product quality, and provide technical inputs to Stakeholders & Product Managers in building the product backlog.
- Act independently as a top-level contributor in architectural strategy for major, complex implementations involving high-volume, globally-distributed services.
- A problem solver and hands-on person leading the team from the front and finding solutions using technology and logical thinking.
- Implement a strong architectural vision that scales for complex game services.
- Be a key partner/owner of the adtech roadmap including the development of tools and experiments focused on improving how we leverage adtech.
- Be responsible for end-to-end development architecture, thus ensuring the code written to implement the architecture and design meets the highest standards regarding code quality and efficiency
- Estimate engineering effort during multiple stages of product life cycle
- Track development deliverables and communicate their statuses, risks to global teams
- Provide architectural guidance to quality assurance from inception through integration, staging and production environments to deliver solid test cases.
- Exhibit creativity and resourcefulness at problem solving while collaborating and working effectively with outstanding designers, engineers of different technical backgrounds, architects and product managers
- Ability to integrate research, conduct fail-fast POCs and implement MVPs at high velocity
- Experience with agile/scrum methodologies to iterate quickly on product changes, developing user stories and working through backlogs
- Maintain strong service catalog and up to date technical documentation
- Establish logging, monitoring, analytics and telemetry frameworks for the team.
- Establish & Enforce strong DevOps principles across all stages of development
- Previous experience working with ads-related third party libraries, APIs, architecture, etc. a major value ad.
- Native application development experience on Smartphones/Mobile Platform with expertise in more than one of the following platforms/programming languages
- IOS SDKs (iPhone and iPad) and Objective-C
- Android SDK/NDK
- Knowledge and understanding in OpenGL/OpenGL ES/DirectX/Win 32.
- Fluent in C++ with strong OOP fundamentals
- Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine 3 development a plus
- Proficient with 3D math including linear algebra (vector math, matrices)
- Intermediate knowledge in 3D graphics and 3D rendering algorithms
- Gameplay systems design and implementation.
- Find creative technical solutions to design challenges.
- Knowledge of common data structures and algorithmic solutions
- PC or console development experience
- Direct experience with multi-player or equivalent client/server topologies as used in online games
- Strong analysis and debugging skills.
- 10+ years’ experience in relevant game development and/or demo-scene
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills and critical thinking skills.
- Mentorship skills to help junior developers achieve their technical and project delivery goals.
