The Sr. Security Engineer is focused on supporting Game and Product security engineering and development and, as such, will be expected to gain deep knowledge of our products and services. In this role you will engage with partner teams to assess the security posture of their products and ensure controls are in place to protect EA. You will be expected to assess products from both a Security and Gameplay Integrity perspective, covering all aspects of game development. You will also be a champion for Security, educating teams on best practices and supporting the development of a trust and verify model between EA Security and our Partners.
To Be Successful In This Role You Must
- Have a solid understanding of the core principles of security architecture and design and be able to translate these into quality requirements.
- Be able to conduct and lead Threat Modeling efforts and identify associated security risks.
- Provide quantitative analysis and relative prioritization for identified risks, with an appreciation for individual team circumstances.
- Be passionate about providing the best player experience possible
- Become a trusted partner by fostering constructive dialogue and seek resolution across multiple stakeholders.
- Have passion for spreading knowledge and helping to educate the wider team on secure design, development, and implementation.
Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
- Experience assessing and designing security controls in an enterprise-level environment.
- Experience reviewing, recommending, implementing, and supporting security solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of recognized security industry standards and leading practices.
- Broad knowledge of security technologies, solutions, and tools.
- Strong understanding of how to conduct risk assessments and the associated methodologies involved in risk mitigation and the presentation of this work.
- Experience securing cloud environments, tools and frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of server technologies and platforms.
- Solid knowledge of directory, identity, authentication, and access management technologies.
- Experience securing mobile technologies and platforms.
- Proven record of improving efficiency & effectiveness of process / tooling / automation
- Experience driving education & awareness programmes
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team and effectively coordinate with internal stakeholders to accomplish business goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, preferred.
