Creative & Development Technology shapes the future of interactive entertainment by harnessing data and technology to empower the creation of the next generation of games. The challenge ahead:

We are looking for an experienced and experienced UX Designer to join our team to support from the ground up, the strategy, user experience, and interface design on a new project within Infinite Worlds. You will work with teams to ensure that end-users have a smooth and seamless experience.

You will work within a newly established and growing Team with a positive culture/set of values. You will report to a Development Director.

Day to day, you will...

  • Work on ambiguous, complex problems and lead new research plans to help tackle them.

  • Undertake discovery and user research, collecting feedback to comprehend user needs, pain points, and preferences. Influence product strategies and vision with these insights and distil them, along with competitive analysis, into user-centred design goals, incorporating the findings into subsequent design revisions.

  • Visualise and prototype intended solutions at multiple levels of fidelity, including high-level wireframes, conceptual designs, design presentations and detailed specifications.

  • Work both independently and collaboratively with fellow UX team members, technical artists, product managers, and software engineers who are geographically distributed across the globe.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX design, and apply them to improve the portal's usability and user experience.

You are/you have…

  • At least 5+ years of experience designing for complex applications, such as creative tools, game engines or 3D software.

  • Have worked on building products from the ground up, 0-1 product design.

  • Present user experience research findings and design concepts to partners, gaining their support and support.

  • Validate or debunk your assumptions by putting your work in front of users.

  • Experience contributing at a strategic level to long-term planning and quarterly roadmaps.

  • Experience setting up platform usage analytics, using tools to track user behaviour, and gathering insights for iterative design improvements.

  • Draw on your mixed-methods research background to prioritise research opportunities, build and own research roadmap planning, and handle expectations with collaborators.

  • A portfolio or project showing user-centered designs demonstrating how you used research and data to inform your decisions.

Bonus if..

  • You have experience working within a Game Team

  • You have experience working with Technical Artists

  • You have experience working on 3D software

  • You have experience working in the generative AI space

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $115,100 - $161,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
