The Challenge Ahead:

You will work as part of the EA Production Security team responsible for the design of security architecture, security infrastructure management and advanced technical support that power our games and live services. You will provide the technical leadership required to create high-quality, security solutions and services that meet EA's needs.

What a Security Engineer does at EA:

Your primary focus will fuel security solutions in traditional data centers, virtualization and in the Cloud, but will also include research, evaluation, planning, designing, allocation, implementation and support of all aspects of EA's Production Security Systems and Cloud infrastructure to provide solutions for our business and studio teams. You will report to the Sr. Director of GRC and Production Security.


  • You will provide troubleshooting support for our security tools with accountability for resolution of outages, service level issues, and user support needs requiring collaboration

  • You will apply technology and software design and deployment principles to write secure code that powers our internal security tooling and processes

  • You will partner with our platform engineering team to design secure platforms that meet the needs of our business

  • You will assess existing services, identify security weaknesses and execute remediation activities to address gaps

  • You will provide rotational weekend on-call support


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience

  • 4+ years Systems/Security Engineering experience with 'mission critical' systems in a medium to large environment.

  • At least 2 or more years Unix Systems Administration experience; preferably in Redhat and Centos.

  • At least 1 or more years managing Amazon AWS services

  • Solid Shell scripting (e.g. Perl) and experience with server configuration management scripting (Puppet, Chef, CFEngine)
