The Merchandising Testing & Optimization Analyst will join our Global Commercial Organization, as part of the Digital Team, a passionate global team putting players first by delivering relevant content, promotions, and amazing experiences to players everywhere.

You will be part of a team leading the transition to digital through new business models, evolving with the dynamic landscape of the industry. As a part of this evolution, we are looking for creative individuals interested in working together at the forefront of bringing games to market and delivering outstanding online experiences.

You will lead the evaluation, design and analysis component of our A/B and multivariate testing efforts, by applying leading insights to enhance merchandising performance and improve decision-making for EA’s catalog across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, Origin, EA Desktop, Steam and Epic digital channels, globally. You will work with internal commercial, merchandising and analytic teams, to promote acquisition and engagement through life cycle, and help achieve digital sales targets.

You will report to the Merchandising Testing & Optimization Lead and will be a contributor to the broader Global Commercial Organization.

What a Merchandising Testing & Optimization Analyst does at EA:

  • Work with the Merchandising Leads, commercial and marketing partners on identifying testing and personalization efforts.
  • Evaluate and design A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Provide strategic insights in planning meetings with external commercial and marketing teams, and internal cross functional teams.
  • Set up reporting cadence to communicate results to organization and leadership.
  • Oversee the data collection and governance process for all our account’s digital channels.
  • Produce performance reports, including business context and insights into the data to be delivered to the business leads: KPI dashboards, merchandising, segmentation analysis, and other reports.
  • Respond to ad-hoc reports and analysis requests from commercial and merchandising teams.
  • Obtain agreement from important partners across all reporting needs.
  • Work with Global IT and internal analytic teams to review and test analytics tools and projects to ensure data quality.
  • Partner and develop relationships with related groups and Global IT to promote and manage efforts across teams to turn insights into practice.
  • Create and maintain confluence pages to document work done and results.
  • Develop technical documentation and data dictionaries to account for evolving business requirements, and manage all processes for testing and data monitoring.

The next great Merchandising Testing & Optimization Lead also needs:

  • 3+ years of experience in Digital Analytics Technologies.
  • Master's or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or Economics.
  • Have experience in the following:
    • Data Engineering experience: building data pipelines, dealing with non-structured datasets and blending multiple data sources together.
    • Statistical knowledge.
    • Experience designing significance test.
    • Maintain digital analytics technologies.
    • Use tag management solution technologies Dynamic Tag Manager, Google Tag Manager
    • Use Web Analytics tools Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics.
    • Develop reports with a Business Intelligence (BI) platform such as PowerBI and Tableau.
    • Design and maintain technical documentation.
    • Work in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and lead projects with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex information, so that it is easily understandable for non-analytical partners.
  • Can maintain strict confidentiality with privileged information.
