The Trends Manager will join the Strategic Growth Insights team, reporting to the Director of Research. Strategic Growth Insights uses consumer insight to drive decision-making that impacts our brand, platforms, and subscriptions. Our group is part of the centralized Marketing & Commercial Insights, which is a team of 100 researchers, analysts and data experts who help design and improve EA's gaming experiences for the player.
As Trends Manager, you will identify cultural trends partner with stakeholders from marketing and game development to translate these trends into short- and long-term changes to EA's business strategy.
In This Role, You Will
- Maintain a consistent pulse on social, cultural, tech and economic trends adjacent to and impacting the gaming industry
- Proactively surface trends and innovation opportunities to partners in marketing and game development
- Work with consumer insights professionals, brand marketers and strategists
- Conduct workshops among stakeholder teams to foster brainstorming and activation opportunities rooted in trends
You'll Need These Skills Or Qualities
- Influential. You've worked with a variety of business partners and have experience driving change
- Change Agent. You're accustomed to tactfully challenging the status quo and asking provocative questions that make people think differently
- Strategic. You have experience connecting several insight sources and linking those insights with business context to drive strategy
- Collaborative. You've often partnered before to merge insight with strategy to drive a meaningful product shift
- 5+ years of experience working as a strategist or driving innovation for clients or partners
