We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Frostbite team!

Frostbite is EA's state-of-the-art multi-platform game development engine. Our global team empowers game creators to shape the future of gaming by developing creative engine features and outstanding tools. As an Engineering Manager, you will join our Core Systems domain in Stockholm, including teams within Engine & Tools- and Network-areas. Your primary focus will be to build engineering teams and grow engineers in their personal development. To operate with a holistic perspective, you will work with people representing Product, Program, Architecture along with your Engineering Manager peers.

You will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Staffing and recruitment for our teams together with your Engineering Manager peers
  • Coach and grow individuals by providing positive and constructive feedback that matters and allow your reporters to develop
  • Coach and grow the team with an agile mindset and servant leadership
  • Facilitate discussions and visualize information to help the team to make well-informed decisions
  • Monitor workload and coach reporters on finding a good work-life balance
  • Recognize efforts that contribute to the team and the business

Qualifications

  • Believe in servant leadership and understand the value of a healthy work environment
  • Experience managing direct reports and growing engineers in an Agile organization
  • Technical background that enables you to coach engineers in their trade
  • Humble and eager to learn and enjoys working in a learning culture
  • Self-motivated and collaborative attitude

  • Experience from Agile coaching
  • Leadership experience in a high-tech company
  • Experience in the game industry
  • Experience working with autonomous agile teams
  • Experience working as a software engineer
