Director-Central DevOps

The Director-Central Devops will direct the creation and administration of tools and processes that drive best in class development practices and outcomes across our HD slate. You will create portfolio views and drive analysis to balance risk across projects and teams. You'll partner with innovation leaders across the company to ensure that EA games set the standard for quality and innovation. The successful candidate will have a strong mix of business, technical, innovative and managerial experience from the HD and Live Services arenas.

Strategic Alignment

  • Create exec visibility and ensure alignment on mobile portfolio status, opportunities and risk mitigations.
  • Create and monitor a Studios’ performance “dashboard,” to enable useful tracking and reporting information, indicators for key elements of the business—game development progress, budgets, live operations, etc.
  • Manage review process for early phase/incubation projects to drive high quality creative innovation.

Development and Live Services Best Practices

  • Provide partnership and insight on game development processes, ensuring that opportunities and challenges are raised as early as possible in the process. Advise on best practices and partner to design fresh solutions to challenges that arise.
  • Bring a systems mind-set to process design including redesign/finaling of EA’s Game Development Framework ensuring applicability across short and long term development, live services and platforms.
  • Help teams get the most out of being part of EA by leveraging our size, tools and resources.

Partnerships

  • Partner with Quality Verification, Technology, Analytics and other internal partner teams to drive the business
  • Speak for Studios interests in broader strategic alignments and operational plans.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of operations and leadership experience in an AAA Game development environment.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to challenge and influence a variety of partners.
  • Ability to prepare/present high impact business cases/analyses/recommendations to leadership team.
  • Proficient change management skills, i.e., comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, yet able to set priorities and deliver on commitments
  • Work closely with studio and HR teams to define the future shape and changes for the workforce including: outsourcing, insourcing, internal development resources, external development resources/external partners and contingency workforce management.
