The Community Engagement Team connects the voices of EA’s 300+ million players to our global game and strategy teams, facilitating healthy conversation and working together to develop thriving communities. The Community Manager, EAX, will lead the Core Community Engagement strategy for EA’s EA PLAY services . You will be the voice of the community for EA PLAY and engage with players through web and social channels, while providing feedback to development teams. Please note this is a 12month contract role.

Reporting to the Lead, NA Games, your mission is to develop trust with EA PLAY players through transparent and purposeful communications. This will include driving important pillars of the Core Community role, including player feedback, communications platforms, developer to player communication strategy and expert insights for internal partners. The Community Manager will also work with internal partners on EA’s Positive Play Program, ensuring a safe and fun environment for our EAX players in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the social and community strategy for EA’s EA PLAY services.
  • Lead EAX’s direct-to-player communications programs including anchor platforms such as blogs and social content, ensuring global alignment across all partners.
  • Drive and maintain a long term editorial calendar of content (blogs, social) for EA PLAY, partnering with multiple teams through the full process - from creation to deployment and reporting.
  • Partner with the Creative Strategy team and other internal partners on the development of social assets and content to provide information to the EA PLAY community.
  • Develop a network of partners around the organization to help guide the EA PLAY community strategy, including the brand, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Legal and other important partners.
  • Be the EA expert on the EA PLAY community, overseeing a conversation monitoring program to ensure important EA internal leaders are aware of community conversation and provided with relevant insights.
  • Conduct surveys, research, and feedback from the community on issues improving the experience.
  • Ensure all Electronic Arts standards and processes are observed and followed.
  • Establish a positive reputation within the EA PLAY community.

Requirements

  • Passion for video games and experience playing EA games
  • 2+ years’ of experience working in online communities, social media, journalism, online marketing, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in writing, grammar, and content-creation abilities.
  • Imaginative thinker with the ability to present new ideas to wide audiences.
  • Motivated to learn new things about players to improve their experience.
  • Objectively interpret customer/community feedback and make recommendations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, User Research, Marketing or Game Development.
