We’re looking for a highly skilled Build & Release Manager who will embrace our culture and share her/his hard earned expertise to make and deliver builds to internal and external parties, and ensure that releases go smoothly. You’ll need experience in AAA game development, passionate about the build process, and eager to help our teams hit their development goals. What you’ll do...

  • Manage a dedicated team of Build & Release engineers.
  • Develop and operate Continuous Integration pipeline for Apex Legends, supporting development and production builds and patches.
  • Work proactively with IT to ensure future Build & Release infrastructure needs are met.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting that gives the Development Team insights into the speed and stability of the build pipeline, and stability and performance of the builds.
  • Work with the game Development Team to improve the release pipeline and integration processes.
  • Communicate status of builds and associated deadlines.
  • Coordinating with Production and QA on build testing.
  • Coordinate cert and submission schedule with Production and the Live Ops Producer.

Your team will be responsible for:

  • Performing integrations for production builds and server hotfixes.
  • Coordinating server deploys.
  • Maintaining and improving build scripts.
  • Building and maintaining tools to automate time-consuming or error-prone processes where possible.
  • Working proactively with the Development Team when errors occur in the build process, helping to identify the cause(s) and what’s needed to fix the build.
  • Integrating localization changes and tracking and fixing localization bugs.

Ideally, you will have…

  • Experience managing a small team of Build & Release engineers.
  • Familiarity with Perforce, including branching, integration, and merging techniques.
  • Experience shipping builds on PS4, XB1, and PC.
  • Knowledge of 1st party packaging requirements.
  • A strong drive to be proactive - a knack for predicting/catching issues before they come up, and a sense of urgency in resolving them when they do arise.
  • Passion for making and playing games.
  • Shipped AAA game(s) preferred.
