Brand Management Lead

Are you a brand management lead for EA?

The newly formed brand team for Electronic Arts is only six months into building our brand, so all of this is very new. That means we're still making it up as we go along. If you're an inspiring manager and a driver and if you're looking for a challenge, then this might be your gig. Right now we all muck in on everything and it can be a little messy. But that's because you've caught us at the best time - the very beginning - how exciting is that? The opportunity to bring an amazing brand back to life doesn't come around too often… so that's why we're here and hopefully why you're still reading this job description…

The Brand Management Lead will report directly to the Brand Management Senior Director. You will manage the brand strategy through the business and inspire change. This will involve shepherding the brand strategy to promote cultural change internally. You will also help implement new brand programs that bring teams together to promote brand growth.

Products that can scale across all our franchises to improve things like disruptive player behavior or bring people together to connect through play… or, or, or

Experiences that bring our new EA Brand Strategy to life.

New actions that cement our position on social justice.

You'll also bring new thoughtful things into the world from EA - services, experiences and other things that don't fit into tidy categories. This will mean bringing together teams across different departments in around a common brand goal.

You'll love writing business cases and bringing new opportunities to life. As such, you'll democratic and will succeed in a collaborative environment and enjoy the challenge of coordinating across teams. You might even love running workshops - if you're a big geek like the rest of us.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Writes the business case for brand as a force for change at EA
  • Runs the programs that internally in our culture and externally in our products, services and experiences
  • Unifies existing efforts, programs and strategies across EA in service of more focused goals tied to brand growth
  • Partners with the Brand Strategy Lead to roll out the EA brand strategy
  • Delivers brand trainings from brand strategy to identity to tone of voice
  • Manages some partnerships with external agencies

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of brand management experience including some at a portfolio brand with a complex architecture - e.g. Netflix, Disney, Activision, Unilever
  • Experience writing exec level business cases
  • Experience driving innovation / creating and launching new services and experiences
  • Experience overseeing teams to implement strategies
  • Experience building brand trainings
  • Experience winning organizations over to brand strategies
  • Examples of transforming a brand/ marketing approach/ something else in your career history
  • Strong point of view on both brand as a growth engine, branded products and the power of brand as a cultural unifier in a business
  • Great collaborator
  • Ability to deal with differences of opinion and advocate for data driven decision making
  • Outcome and output oriented - dare we say 'relentless'?
  • Willing to get hands dirty
  • A comrade
