About the Position:

Reporting to the Senior Benefits Program Manager, this role has benefits administration responsibility primarily for the Asia Pacific, Latin America and US regions. The role will also provide opportunities for partaking in global benefit initiatives and vendor implementations. A keen eye for detail, a focus on customer service, and excellent stakeholder management skills will be a necessity in order to effectively manage regional and global benefit programs, special projects and respond to employee inquiries.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Successful applicant will partner with different members of the benefits team to achieve broader team objectives and deliverables;
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with brokers, People Practices partners and consultants to effectively manage regional benefit programs;
  • Assist with the annual renewal process for the US, Asia Pacific and Latin America regions;
  • Manage the annual global benefits cost review project;
  • Draft, maintain and manage benefits procedures;
  • Assist with and draft benefit communications related to new plan rollouts and plan changes;
  • Partner with regional HR to establish and maintain an ongoing benefits communication campaign;
  • Facilitate the completion of regional benefit surveys;
  • Support the rollout of global policy changes and initiatives;
  • Maintain the US, Asia Pacific, Latin America and global Benefit intranet site pages;
  • Responsible for managing the US Benefits inbox queries;
  • Assist with annual US FSA Discrimination testing;
  • Work with US Benefits team on annual Open Enrollment project;
  • Provide support and assistance to Senior Benefits Manager and other Benefits team members, as required;
  • Coordinates or assists with special ad-hoc projects where necessary;
  • Additional duties or different responsibilities within Benefits may be assigned at discretion.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in the HR/Benefits field;
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment;
  • Ability to define and solve problems by using sound judgment and critical thinking, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks concurrently;
  • Ability to work based on a flexible schedule due to time zone differences associated with managing international benefits;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Prior experience in a Human Resources capacity, allowing the incumbent to anticipate the needs of HR, Management and Legal while administering benefit programs;
  • Must demonstrate ability to exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive and/or confidential issues
  • A passion for inclusion, diversity and accessibility in all things as they relate to employee programs and company policies;
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • A team player with the ability to work autonomously;
  • Exhibits excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent time management with ability to work with tight timelines, fluctuating workload, and limited supervision;
  • HRIS experience (Workday is an asset);
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel in particular, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook); and
  • Ability to speak or read Chinese (Mandarin) and/or Korean a plus
