The Competitive Gaming Division (CGD) is built around creating highly engaging competitive programs that aim to make stars of all our players. We are searching for an Audience Development Program Manager to help grow awareness, interest, and audiences of EA’s competitions across FIFA, FIFA Online 4, Madden, Apex Legends, and future competitive titles.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and manage initiatives aimed at building audiences around EA’s competitive gaming programs
  • Manage partnerships to facilitate distribution of EA’s competitive gaming content on relevant platforms worldwide; support prospecting and sourcing of new partnerships
  • Support market research efforts to help CGD better understand its audience and viewership trends; synthesize analyses into takeaways and actionable recommendations
  • Provide ad-hoc analyses and insights as needed
  • Serve as one of multiple CGD points of contact to greater EA; Align with other internal EA functions (e.g. Marketing, Research, Analytics) on viewership priorities
  • Under guidance of the Director of Growth and Commercialization, support sponsorship goals as needed (e.g. research, sales materials)

Key Requirements

  • 4+ years in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Strategy, and/or Strategic Consulting
  • 3+ years in building audiences in related industries e.g. sports and entertainment
  • 2+ years of esports and video game industry experience
  • A passion for esports, competitive gaming, and EA titles
  • Ability to occasionally travel
  • Ability and comfort to manage and grow relationships with external partners
  • Proven track-record of success in a matrix environment, with strong ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Comfort and ability to work in cross-functional capacities
  • Critical thinker and researcher, ability to holistically think through problems and concisely present observations and/or recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the demonstrated ability to make effective presentations to a broad range of audiences
  • Self-starter, ability to prioritize and organize a high-volume workflow and follow a project through to completion with a high attend to detail
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • International experience not required but a plus
  • Sponsorship experience not required but a plus
