About role

Electronic Arts are hiring for an Associate Financial Analyst; the position is based in our Hyderabad office. You will ensure that financial risks of the North American sales channels are correctly valued and recorded. These risks include supporting the sales teams on their price promotion decisions and associated costs. As an important member of a Worldwide team, you will support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. This includes developing reporting packs and presenting variance analysis to Executive management. Researching and documenting historical trends of past pricing strategies. You will have partnership with teams, good to the corporate team on all financial risk situations including. Main partners include FP&A, controllership, AR, Sales, and Demand Planning. Support internal and external Audit review.

You will be reporting to Senior Manager

What an Associate Financial Analyst does at EA:

Sales Rebates Allowance (SRA)

  • Run the provision calculation for price promotions and returning product (SRA) for specific territories.

  • Manage the review at month end to provide accurate provision calculation.

  • Support the forecasting process.

  • Analyse the P&L and Balance Sheet impact of the provision. Other ad-hoc analysis to support management.

  • Partner with the sales department and Demand Planning on pricing strategy.

  • Support Audit review with KPMG: methodology, calculation, and B/S reconciliation

  • Create Journal Entry in Oracle

Product Placement Fee (PPF)

  • Run the provision calculation for Product Placement Fee (PPF) for specific territories.

  • Analyse the P&L and Balance Sheet impact of the provision.

The next great EA Financial Risk Analyst also needs.

  • Business Degree or finance background, including accounting skills

  • Excellent IT skills - Advanced Microsoft excel (can perform complex functions)

  • Financial tools experience desirable e.g., Oracle and HFM Essbase

  • Inquisitive nature and quick learning

  • A team player who is able of working collaboratively.

  • Understand the video game market
