The EA Studios Data and Insights group (SDI) is responsible for bringing both quantitative and qualitative insights to the entire company (including all game teams) via Studio Analytics, Data Engineering, and Data Science. The Analytics Solutions team is the engineering branch of SDI and is responsible for developing and improving our studio's data technical capabilities.

We are seeking an experienced Analytics Product Manager to drive the capabilities roadmap that supports EA’s Studios Data and Insights organization. This role will be important in revolutionizing how teams use data to make decisions, using both advanced analytics and algorithmic insights. This role is highly collaborative, and you will need to work closely with central teams, as well as key analytics partners to drive success and growth in EA’s data culture.

This role reports to the Director of Enablement and is responsible for overseeing, developing, and leading the strategic and tactical functions of analytics products, including development and evolution of self-serve enterprise and portfolio reporting suite as well as other analytics tools and products.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the work of setting a shared vision, understanding value, and prioritization of work around building a scalable, secure, and performant set of data and analytics capabilities
  • Understand the target audience (e.g., Demand side: Analysts, Leadership, Studios, etc., and on the Supply side: Engineering teams, Technology partners, Data Governance, etc.)
  • Create a persona-based approach to designing data and analytics solutions to meet the needs of different types of partners
  • Build and maintain a capabilities' roadmap aligned with the future business goals and priorities
  • Manage constant prioritization of requests for new capabilities by working closely with teams around the world
  • Oversee the troubleshooting of data integrity and performance issues that are mission-critical
  • Work closely with technology partners and internal engineering teams on data architecture, standardization, and curation for prioritized use-cases
  • Build business cases to articulate the “value of data” for all new use-cases, and then drive measurement exercise post-implementation to capture value and takeaways
  • Work closely with partners to understand their capabilities, and design solutions to enable the seamless exchange of data and insights
  • Contribute to driving data awareness and best practices sharing across EA teams
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining the suite of critical metrics, including value, definitions, benchmarking, etc.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years (or 5+ years for Senior Product Manager) as Product Manager for analytics products
  • 3-5 years of experience with large-scale data and analytics platforms, including building critical performance metrics
  • Full knowledge of different product management and design thinking techniques and tools (e.g., vision setting, product requirement documentation, critical metrics, stakeholder journey maps, service, product roadmaps)
  • Exposure to the value chain of data and analytics, from building data pipelines to advanced data science programs, and for all types of analytics: Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive & Prescriptive analytics
  • Deep understanding of the modern data and analytics technology stack, from leading cloud data platform solutions such as Snowflake and Amazon S3, to BI applications such as Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
  • Entrepreneurial mentality with an ability to navigate ambiguity while being able to “focus on what matters most”
  • Strong understanding of risk principles around data, including governance and architecture considerations
  • Strong influencing skills that drive alignment with a wide range of partners including business, operational, and technical teams
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with senior and junior technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven experience succeeding in complex, cross-functional projects
