RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the delivery and growth of best-in-class technical analyses of game performance, analytics, security, connectivity, and compatibility by the Square Enix Technical QA (TQA) team;
- Manage and support the TQA team with respect to hiring and professional development, in line with industry and consumer expectations;
- Provide budgetary feedback and manage human and material resources for the TQA team, across products;
- Monitor QA data to ensure compliance with departmental standards;
- Maintain proficiency via training and personal skill development;
- Inform and champion effective training and improvement plans for the TQA team, in line with Square Enix administrative policies;
- Drive implementation of tools and processes necessary for the TQA team to provide timely and accurate feedback to stakeholders;
- Engage with developers, external test partners and hardware manufacturers as needed for technical analysis and reporting;
- Liaise with other Service Line Managers and PMs to maximize efficiency of the TQA group;
- Exemplify an exceptional standard of work ethic and technical competence.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma;
- College Degree an asset;
- 6+ years of QA experience in a QA environment with knowledge of QA practices and procedures;
- CompTIA Network+ Certification an asset;
- 2+ years managing teams in a software QA environment;
- Knowledge of JIRA or equivalent defect tracking database;
- Knowledge of test case scoping, techniques, management, and tools;
- French speaking/writing skills required;
- Strong language skills (written English);
- Familiarity with programming languages (C#, C++, Python);
- Strong knowledge of PC software and networking diagnostic tools;
- Strong knowledge of performance benchmark analysis techniques;
- Working knowledge of console hardware and tools;
- Experience in leading teams, preferably software test teams.
