A unique and exciting role working for one of the largest brands in the world. The ideal candidate will have experience in the entertainment industry, and have an excellent understanding of market leadership and management.

You will be responsible for ensuring that EMEA markets are supported in all PR and communications. The Xbox EMEA region encompasses 26 markets, including the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Nordics; in some markets the client is supported by agency teams, in others activity is managed solely in-house. We have recently brought on board additional teams in Poland, Greece and the Middle East, with a team at Edelman Saudi Arabia now being an extended part of our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the gaming or tech sectors either on EMEA or International teams, a passion for video games and a strong understanding of the entertainment industry.

We are looking for someone with experience in international market coordination, with a solid account management background and a real eye for detail. Both the role and client are exciting and fast-paced – you will need to be a quick thinker and strong multi-tasker, ready to staff international media events, organise a multi-market studio visit, or pull together a campaign recap at the bat of an eye.

The role:

  • Project management including leading on game launch campaigns, from planning through to previews/reviews and launch, under supervision of Account Director
  • Press tour and industry event planning, logistics and event management, inclusive of international events such as E3 and gamescom
  • Day-to-day support for EMEA markets, both agency and client-side, including regular conference calls and clear, concise PR briefings for plan roll-out
  • Liaison with global PR team and managing the role out of all PR plans and assets
  • Campaign and event reporting and best practice sharing across the markets
  • Day-to-day account management of junior team members
  • Budget management inclusive of all owned projects

Candidate requirements:

  • Solid experience working in an integrated communications role within an agency focusing on gaming clients
  • Communications experience preferably at European or International level with a strong understanding of network management
  • Experience in strategy, planning and executing Global PR plans
  • Able to develop logistical and media strategy plans
  • A proactive self-starter with excellent project management skills and attention to detail
  • An experienced writer who can competently write press releases, copy, reports and statements in a timely fashion
  • A proven ability to deliver results as well as executing on client campaigns
  • A creative mind, both when applied to brainstorming for campaigns and in day-to-day media relations to drive results and breakout and feature coverage for brands
  • An ability to multi-task a number of different account requirements and deliver results under pressure
