Dreamfeel are looking for a writer with experience of immigration and emigration to join our very small writing team part-time to help create our next game.

You will work very closely with myself, Llaura, and my co-writer and producer Eve Golden-Woods. In 2020 we released If Found… a narrative game about family, friends, memory, erasure and being trans, that we co-wrote together.

You don’t need experience in games, but experience with experimental narrative forms is a plus. As is an interest in horror, and telling character focused stories. Experience playing games is definitely a plus.

You will need to be able to collaborate on fiction with others and iterate on your work through giving and receiving feedback until it’s *just right*.

Our new title is set in Ireland so we are particularly, but not exclusively, looking for someone who has immigrated TO Ireland at some point in their life, or has related experiences.

Our team has a diverse background. and we strongly value this, so we would love to hear from people of marginalised identities.

Work days and hours are very flexible, but we expect you to be regularly available during GMT hours. The team is working remotely right now and expects to be for most of the project, so experience working remotely over apps like discord is a plus.

Work can begin as soon as December, and will be three days a week for the first few months. As the project continues this will become more infrequent, but we foresee the project lasting until early 2022.
