The Associate Manager is a strategic and executional role within the Keurig Dr Pepper CSD Marketing Team under the direction of the Content Manager. The role is designed to develop and help lead creative across the Dr Pepper Trademark, Crush and Schweppes.

The position requires the individual to develop a broad view of our organization and a robust understanding of marketing objectives for the brand. Daily work will require the translation and application of those objectives into creative execution throughout the concepting, production and optimization stages. This person will ensure that internal and external stakeholders are managed accordingly, goals are achieved, deadlines met and financial budgets maintained.

The ideal candidate will have a background in agency creative management, social and digital platforms and an eye for creative excellence. They should have an inquisitive spirit and interest in the ever evolving media landscape. A self-starter for sure, this individual should feel empowered and comfortable with breaking down barriers, presenting to executive management and developing and sharing strategic opinions.

Key Relationships: The Associate Manager must build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and other partners to facilitate superior execution of projects. This person will also serve as the lead on select projects, and will interface on a daily basis with brand management, media, legal, insights, data science, and other members of the organization as necessary.

  • Consumer Engagement Programs Lead/Local Media Lead:
    • Briefing, creative management, and production of content supporting local programs: movie partnership, Uber, Texas Heartland. Includes social, digital, OOH, radio tags, website updates
    • Attendance in cross functional meetings for programs- update media, activation, brand, fountain, partner agencies on status of content for the project
    • Weekly status with local team on content needs and status of projects
  • Ownership of DrPepper.com
    • Work with agency on strategy
    • Review and approve revisions to the website with new campaigns and programs
  • Brand Advocacy Content Lead
    • Work with associate brand manager and campaign analytics manager on continued evolution for the program’s strategy
    • Manage feedback and approvals of Pepper Pack invitations, and UGC posts
    • Manage surprise and delight
  • eSports Content Lead
    • 2019 includes nation video, display and sponsorship elements
  • Review and approve right-time moments in social – sometimes includes weekends and after hours
  • Management of content budget
    • Tracking estimates, approving invoices, high level understanding of where the budget is netting out, year-end accruals, and monthly meetings with finance
  • Own agency scope development, reviews, and finalization
  • Work closely with media to review partner created content across all brands in the trademark, ensuring brand standards and tone are correct
  • eComm cross-functional partner. Help gather evergreen assets, update product descriptors and search terms
  • Assist Content Manager and lead certain aspects of the following national campaigns:
    • College Football
    • Dr Pepper Base
    • Diet Dr Pepper
    • Dr Pepper Cherry

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of integrated marketing experience, preferably within an agency, and with proven examples of contribution to successful national marketing campaigns.
  • Focused digital and social marketing background.
  • Strong presentation and speaking skills
  • Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast paced environment, react quickly using sound judgement often without specific direction.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% required.
