Reports To

This position is based in Guildford, UK and reports to the Technical Lead.

What will you do?

  • Work with all disciplines to improve all aspects of the project
  • Solve performance issues
  • Work on large-scale engine-level technical problems
  • Identify areas of technical debt and attack at every possibility
  • Research new technologies
  • Apply new (and old) techniques to make the game better in all ways

What are we looking for?

  • Have you experienced the thrill and pain of multiple console generations?
  • Did you enjoy optimising for the PS2 Vector Units?
  • Do you thrive on a problem that no other coder wants to touch because “it’s a challenge”?
  • Do you reminisce fondly about 68000 asm?
  • Would you share your best PS3 PSU optimisation story down the pub?
  • Could you argue passionately for both sides of the argument: ST vs Amiga?
  • Do you dream in multi-threads?
  • Do late production “Seen Once” bugs excite you, rather than scare you?
  • Do you share the PowerPC’s disdain for unaligned data?

  • Commercial experience in UE4
