We are looking for a Director of QA & Localisation who is experienced and passionate to work closely with the QA Manager & Head of Localisation to ensure our simulation titles are of the highest quality. You will need to be extremely hands on with the growing teams, assisting and directing where needed, mentoring and decision making to ensure game functuality is at its best!

Responsibilities

  • Defining QA & LQA strategy, approach and execution in development projects.
  • Providing leadership and direction to the QA & LQA management team
  • Working with QA& Localisation management and Head of Localisation to oversee the entire process and workbacks, ensuring test plans are realistic and achieve the best quality results in the best time frames.
  • Ensuring all our titles are of the highest market leading quality across all platforms.
  • Providing leadership and technical expertise within Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing and Localisation Processes, Tools and Techniques and Quality Assurance across the teams.
  • Working with key stakeholders to develop and execute QA & Localisation strategies to meet and exceed department and business quality goals.
  • Ensuring team have adequate resource, tools and training to achieve quality goals.
  • Ensuring that the development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines and best practices of the QA & Localisation strategy as defined.
  • Building and maintenance of quality standards as well as enforcing technical and testing standards.
  • Gathering and present testing metrics and testing activities for the projects to key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the proper usage of available tools to gain the maximum benefit of the QA & Localisation effort. This includes testing tools for functional, performance, automation, etc.
  • Manage training and continuous learning of QA & Localisation staff by means of short courses, conferences, meetups, certifications, etc.

Person Specifications

  • Exceptional knowledge of QA and Localisation process and methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle Experience
  • Data-Driven Thinking
  • Understanding of 1st party processes and rules
  • At least two cycles with games production (pref. console)
  • Flexible with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proactive, strong-minded, quick thinker and assertive.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, including an additional language
  • Experience working in a global cross functional team.
