Double Jump Communications is a leading boutique marketing agency, focused on servicing the video game and technology sectors.
We are looking for an experienced social media manager to join our team to be responsible for the local social media strategy and execution for one of our key clients. This role will work directly with our client and form part of their global social media team and will coordinate with the ANZ agency team to support local activities including announcements and digital / physical events.
You will have at least three years experience in social media, the capability to work both independently and cohesively with a global team. You’ll work odd hours from time to time to ensure that the ANZ markets are aligned with any global requirements.
You’ll also have a passion for the video game industry and love to keep your finger on the pulse of the ANZ gaming community.
This person can be based anywhere in Australia.
Responsibilities
- Work with central team in US to launch and manage ANZ social channels across multiple products
- Owning, establishing and driving content initiatives related to ANZ across all social media platforms
- Social media community management across Facebook, Twitter, Discord etc, including but not restricted to replying to tweets, DMs, community engagement
- Pitch and organise community events
- Manage weekly reporting and growth goals for social channels
- Contribute to regional APAC Social Media & Community strategy
- Keep your finger on the pulse of the gaming community in ANZ and report sentiment back to HQ.
- Coordinate across the organisation on strategic communications and reactive messaging
- Optimise existing social media channels and iterate on best practices, as well as identifying emerging platforms and trends within the social media space
- Evaluating and developing post-mortems for social media initiatives, coordinating feedback from marketing, business intelligence, development teams, and external agencies
Qualifications
- At least three years previous experience in the video games industry is required
- Comfort with quick changes to plans and tactics is required
- Existing relationships within the ANZ gaming community preferred
- Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently while balancing the needs to be collaborative across teams and territories
- Results-driven personality that is self-motivated and consistently delivers high quality work
- Ability to build long-term relationships with key stakeholders and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders locally and overseas, mainly Australia and the USA
- Experience working in influencer-driven marketing
- Experience managing paid and boosted social campaigns and posts
- Ability to translate campaign results into actionable insights and optimisation, including developing key KPI and ROI metrics/ dashboards
- Proficiency in using Excel, Word, G Suite programs, and Jira is highly recommended
