SUMMARY

Join us on the Exploratory Engineering team! You will be an individual contributor on a collaborative team, finding innovative ways to employ Dolby's audio technology products to address new consumer, computer, and communication opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Integrate Dolby Atmos audio codec and processing technology components into OS media, content streaming, and game audio pipelines

Use your creative instincts to prototype new user experiences

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrable proficiency in C/C++ working with audio or video processing libraries
  • Demonstrable proficiency in software test development and automated test frameworks
  • Demonstrable proficiency in Python

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • An understanding of continuous integration/continuous delivery principles and practices
  • Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban principles and practices
  • Familiarity with the open-source community, including libraries, licenses, and best practices
  • Familiarity with gaming content creationtools, such as Unity and Unreal game editors
  • Effusive passion for movies, music, and video games

ELIGIBILITY

  • Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in software development, or demonstrates equivalent experience; recent grads who are within 1 year of graduation are also eligible to apply
  • Must be available to work full-time Monday–Friday for 3-months between May/June 2021–August/September 2021.
  • Start dates for the internship are as follows: (*note* these dates are not flexible):
    • Monday, May 24, 2021
    • Monday, June 14, 2021
    • Monday, June 21, 2021
  • COVID UPDATE: This internship will be remote until further notice. Should conditions change, and we can safely allow employees to return to our campuses, there is a possibility of returning to onsite work
