Disrupt Gaming needs a dedicated video editor to focus on marketing content and special projects for Disrupt's teams. This person must have strong professional editorial and visual storytelling experience, as well as outstanding communication skills. He/she must be highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide creative video editorial for a wide range of projects for internet release, working with a mix of game capture, motion graphics, music, and sound effects to create works that excite, inform, and still tell a story.
  • Must be able to operate with varying degrees of supervision. Take ownership when needed while remaining flexible to collaboration and iteration with a team of dedicated game capture artists, a motion graphics artist and project directors.
  • Facilitate content reviews with stakeholders and implement director notes.
  • Ingest, organize and update footage; music and sound effects pulled from our library; locate archival assets necessary to support their assignment objectives.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 yearsโ€™ professional editorial experience.
  • Deep knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software
  • Good sense of timing, pacing, and controlling story flow through editing.
  • Basic Color Correction skills.
  • Knowledge of current post-production industry-standard workflows and archival organization.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills, including a demonstrable understanding of good composition, screen direction and the 180 line, continuity & eye trace.
  • Familiarity with competitive gaming culture (i.e. Esports) and an interest in video games.
  • Demonstrated expertise working in Short Form media and visual storytelling (Commercials, Sizzle Reels, Trailers, Shorts, Etc.).
  • Highly self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work well under tight deadlines and quick project turnover.
  • Able to work closely with Directors, Producers, and with other team members.
  • Able to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
  • Familiarity advanced video compression techniques and associated software packages.

Pluses:

  • Familiarity with capturing game footage.
  • Compositing and 2D effects (Adobe After Effects).
  • Animation/3D Title Creation/Storyboarding/or other related skill.
