The People Operations (POP’s) team at Discord is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to help us build many upcoming programs and ensure a meaningful employee experience. Your role will be far from one-dimensional and you may find yourself in the depths of all things benefits, payroll, compliance, compensation, leave of absences and/or onboarding related. You will enter at an exciting and important time as we shape our HR infrastructure to a scalable path. What you'll be doing

  • Report to and assist our Head of Total Rewards and Operations to manage our semi-annual Compensation Review Process
  • Have an active role in special projects, such as implementing a new feedback tool or people analytics dashboard
  • Work with a variety of partners (HR Business Partners, Legal, Finance) to encourage prompt, fair, and effective resolution of workplace concerns to help achieve a positive employee experience
  • Partner with POPs team on projects including New Employee Orientation, general HR support work, and program management support
  • Provide polish to our ‘startup’ tools and procedures, applying prior knowledge, researching best practices and weighing Discord company values
  • Develop our policies and practices

What you should have

  • 5+ years of HR Generalist experience
  • You are looking for feedback on a issue that you’ve already provided an outline and recommendations for
  • You like writing and communicating with others
  • You're organized and make it a part of your every day life
  • You are great at handling of Employee Relations matters in an urgent and confidential manner
  • You show know when to escalate issues and seek appropriate support
