As a member of the Consumer Product Marketing team, you will get to be an advocate for all our users and have a key voice in how our core platform product is built and communicated out to the world. This is a crucial hire, as it is the first Group PMM role for the Consumer Product Marketing team.

The Group Product Marketing Manager will lead a team around our product marketing strategy during one of the most exciting times in our business. You will be responsible for creating a compelling vision for our users, and will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing leadership to scale Discord’s core platform product narrative and experience to new heights. What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner with the product team to influence product and business strategy with a view of customer needs and market opportunities
  • Develop unified narratives for global campaigns, including ownership over positioning, and external agency management
  • Align strategy and operationalize process to drive fully integrated go-to-market campaigns across product, brand, and partnership teams
  • Attract, manage and develop a team of talented product marketers to scale
  • Drive ongoing measurement and analysis of awareness, adoption, and sentiment of campaigns in partnership with Data Science
  • Engage and cultivate relationships with Discord users to deeply understand their needs

What you should have:

  • Excited to work in a high-growth environment and culture
  • 9+ years of experience launching and scaling consumer tech products globally
  • 4+ years of experience strategizing and executing large-scale, creative consumer campaigns spanning online and offline activations. This includes managing creative, media, and digital agencies to develop highly engaging content.
  • 4+ years of experience hiring and managing product marketers
  • Expertise in using qualitative and quantitative data to identify marketing opportunities and measure the success of marketing programs in driving traditional brand metrics and core business results.
  • Ability to guide cross-functional teams towards decisions and execution

Bonus Points:

  • Product development/management or product design experience
  • Additional marketing experience in branding, media, partnerships, or communications
  • Entrepreneurial or start-up background
