Digital Extremes is seeking a Senior Back-End/Cloud Developer to join our team with experience in game development for our external project endeavors; this is a specialized role, and we're trying to find just the right person to fill it. This posting is for a new internal team working with cutting edge technologies, in an exciting novel area of development for the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in back-end technology choices
- Cost-efficient back-end coding practices
- Write robust, maintainable and secure code
- Game client/server communication with back-end code
- Web-app front-end communication with back-end code
- Maintain code performance through profiling and optimization
- Correspond with parties involved in features and feature requests
REQUIREMENTS
- Requisite language expertise: Node.js / Typescript, C++/C
- Databases: MongoDB [or similar NoSQL], SQL
- Linux experience
- AWS [or similar provider] experience
- Perforce, Git
- B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science
- Strong communication skills, work ethic and motivation
