We are DICE

DICE (EA Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment), the award-winning studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, is best known for creating the phenomenally successful Battlefield franchise, the Battlefront franchise, and the innovative game Mirror’s Edge.

We work through our 4 guiding values: Passion with Purpose, Creative Innovation, Everything Quality, and One Community. We recognise that our people are the backbone and driving force to our creative products. As such, we are dedicated in providing everyone the ability to express, learn, and be their very best with a common cause.

The Challenge ahead

The Procedural Artist can combine artistic vision and technical tool building that provides him/her with unique abilities. Every studio, title or even task has its own conditions and the Procedural Artist can both understand these in detail and provide their solutions. Short term these help production make delivery but over time the tools are refined and gives studio control to evolve the games.

While the technical process to produce tools is a challenging one, we at DICE value the artistic side equally in a Procedural Artist. It’s the artistic judgement that guides the tool making and allows the person to understand the people using the tools. Some tools also provide final content.

  • Is proven in one or more artistic areas.
  • A strong problem solver, not scared of experimenting but capable of making efficient decisions.
  • Proficient in Python and vector algebra.
  • A people person who is driven to help a broad group of developers.

  • Deliver usable tools for content creators based on their feedback.
