We are looking for an Audio Software Engineer with experience writing highly maintainable and performing audio code in C++. We find added value in candidates that are aware of the importance of well-structured code, best programming practices and have expertise in managing platform resources (CPU time, memory) wisely. As Audio Software Engineer you will work on tasks related to the maintenance of multiple audio systems, creating audio tools from the requirements and needs of sound designers. You will work with sound designers but also with cross-disciplinary teams (Core, Gameplay, Animation, etc.) creating interactions/communications between the different parts of the game and the audio systems. You will report into a Engineering Craft Manager.

Requirements

  • Self-driven with a strong sense of quality
  • Strong solution and customer orientation
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience with C++
  • Experience with audio software development or passion to take a new challenge in this domain
  • Experience in troubleshooting and debugging
  • Experience measuring performance in modern platforms
  • Good knowledge in memory management, multi-core utilization, runtime profiling, and optimization.

Nice to Have Qualifications

  • C# experience
  • Experience developing Tools
  • Gameplay and/or Tools development experience
  • Experience with game engines and pipelines
