About the Position

dibs studio is seeking a senior software engineer to help create Wild Sanctuary, a geospatial, F2P, mobile AR game. Wild Sanctuary is designed for maximum fun and maximum social impact. Players are on a mission to save endangered species and help restore balance to the natural environment. The game is inherently social and collaborative and targets a mass casual audience. In 2019, Wild SantuARy was awarded second prize in the Niantic Beyond Reality contest. We have now moved into a full production development phase. Demo gameplay videos here


  • Design, build, implement and maintain significant portions of the backend services, ensuring they are operationally sound, secure and scalable
  • Write well-structured, clean and efficient code in accordance with requirements
  • Work autonomously, solving technical design and development problems
  • Collaborate with teams across dibs studio to build great new technology for our players


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in C#
  • 5+ years of experience writing production distributed systems or cloud services using .NET Core
  • Proven experience deploying and managing game servers on Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with both relational and NoSQL database/storage technology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in fast-moving development environments
  • A constant desire to learn, grow, and help others improve

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of protocol buffers, S2 cell geometry
  • Experience working with location based games
  • Experience working with Kubernetes and/or Docker
  • Experience integrating testing into the development cycle
  • Devops experience
